NEPO’s approach is informed by extensive market consultation, and the solution will comprise of the following lots:
- Lot 1: Prepaid Payments
- Lot 2: Corporate Payments
- Lot 3: Appointeeship Payments
- Lot 4: Digital Payout Services
The benefits
NEPO anticipates that the solution will offer a number of benefits:
- To provide access to a compliant and cost-effective solution that is fit for purpose, while also addressing emerging technologies and innovations within social care and appointeeship payments.
- To appoint suppliers that are flexible to NEPO’s requirements and provide a responsive and effective service.
- To structure a solution that is flexible in its approach, offering a wide spectrum of payment solutions and associated services to meet the needs of Member and Associate Authorities. ·
- To build a solution that is innovative and future-proof, designed to meet the needs of an evolving category of spend and adapt to changing requirements over time.
- To include greater contract management provisions to maintain adequate service levels and support growth requirements.
Suppliers are encouraged to register on Open to obtain tender documentation when available. Registration is free of charge and simple to complete.
The solution is expected to start in September 2026. The contract will run for a period of 48 months with the option to extend for two further periods of 12 months.
