This solution covers placements in the following settings:
- Department for Education registered, independent special schools and colleges; day placements, weekly boarder placements and 52-week residential placements. All placements in these settings for Children and Young People Pre-16
- Department for Education registered, independent special schools and colleges; day placements, weekly boarder placements and 52-week residential placements. All placements in these settings for Children and Young People Post-16
- Residential Children’s Homes for Children and Young People aged 0 – 18 years
- Ofsted Registered Residential Short Break Services for Children and Young People 0 – 18 years.
The solution is the result of NEPO member authorities and their Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) through the North East Commissioning Service (NECS) determining that there was benefit in having a joint approach to the commissioning of the placements.
