NEPO extends award-winning Electricity framework for a further two years

Delivered by sole-supplier EDF, NEPO301 Electricity allows public sector organisations across the UK to access low-carbon electricity and demand-side services that aim to reduce usage.

Our strong partnership built with EDF has resulted in:

  • NEPO’s members using 100% zero carbon electricity with no cost to the customers
  • Electricity supplied that is 100% renewable as verified by The Carbon Trust and backed by REGO (Renewable Energy Guarantees Origin) certificates
  • Investment in award-winning social value projects across the North East worth over £70,000

Marie Forster, Energy Lead at NEPO, said:

"We are pleased to announce the extension of our nationally-available Electricity framework. Together with EDF we have invested time and resource to ensure that every pound of public spending via the contract delivers additional benefits to local communities. NEPO has worked with EDF since the previous iteration of NEPO301 commenced in 2019, and we look forward to continuing and strengthening this successful relationship.”

Pete Fear, Senior Account Manager at EDF, said:

“We are delighted that NEPO has extended our supply relationship for another two years. In 2019, EDF were appointed as the sole-supplier to NEPO301 Electricity, and since then have helped NEPO’s members to save over 200,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions through zero carbon fuel sources. We are excited to build upon our successful partnership with NEPO, and ensure that we continue to deliver for our public sector members across the UK.”
