Newcastle Event: Sustainable Fish Campaign

(Takes place 16.30 on Wednesday 21st May 2014, Newcastle University)

Newcastle is working to achieve 'Sustainable Fish City' status by creating a large scale shift in the procurement of sustainably caught fish across the city's large catering organisations and institutions.  An information event aimed at procurement professionals, fishermen, wholesalers and restauranteurs will be held from 16:30 to 18:30 on Wednesday 21st May at Newcastle University

This event will be an opportunity to:

  • introduce Food Newcastle and the 'Sustainable Fish City' campaign.
  • debate the pros and cons of different fish sourcing policies via a panel debate, followed by audience questions and contributions.
  • discuss how Newcastle's large organisations can lead a powerful shift in the demand for sustainable fish.
