Market Consultation event for Traffic Management Services

Durham County Council, acting on behalf of the North East Procurement Organisation (NEPO), is holding a market engagement event to inform and consult with suppliers interested in bidding for Traffic Management Services.

The event takes place on Thursday 5 October 2017 in Sedgefield.

The Traffic Management Services solution will be utilised by NEPO Member Authorities and is likely to be split into geographical Lots which are yet to be determined.

Contractors will be required to provide the following services;
  • set up, maintain and remove traffic management as specified by each works order including provision of all signs and cones
  • temporary traffic signals
  • temporary lane closures
  • temporary road closures with fully signed diversionary routes
  • mobile lane closures.
Contractors will also be required to provide 24-hour emergency call-out to any site that has traffic management in place and manufacture and supply temporary works information boards.

Procurement Process

The procurement is anticipated to be issued under a restricted procedure and Durham County Council, acting on NEPO's behalf, intends to invite the five highest scoring bidding organisations to tender subject to having also passed the essential criteria and achieving a minimum weighted score of 65% for the Technical Questions.

It is the intention to award a maximum of three suppliers per Lot. Bidders who achieve the highest weighted tender price score will be awarded a position on the solution in ascending order of the scores achieved at the tender stage.
