Free simulator-based driver workshop package - worth £280

Teesside University is working with Tadea to offer a free half day simulator-based driver workshop package (worth £280) to 27 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) based in the North East*.

The project will utilise a simulator-based training facility in Washington to provide a free EAL accredited workshop in fuel efficient driving techniques to organisations that have employees who drive for work purposes, either in their own or company vehicles.

Previous research has shown that simulator-based driver training can reduce fuel costs by over 10% and this opportunity allows you to take advantage of these cost savings within your organisation.

This offer is available thanks to Teesside University’s REPS (Resource Efficiency Pathways to Sustainable Growth) programme. The University will gather data prior to, during and after the workshop and analyse the cost benefits of fuel efficient driver training to the businesses involved.

Tadea’s Effective Transport Solutions, the first centre of its kind in the UK, hosts an impressive simulator suite including three BMW Minis with 270o wrap around screens and six smaller pod simulators, which can even mimic weather conditions such as ice, snow, rain, high winds and thick fog.  For more information see their website.

Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first served basis, subject to ERDF eligibility. So, register your interest now before all spaces are booked by clicking here.
