DCLG’s Local Digital Campaign - 'Really Useful Day' for Technology Suppliers

(Taking place 10.00 to 16.00, Fri. 29 Nov. 2013 at DCLG offices, London)

The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) is holding a “Really Useful Day” for technology suppliers working with, or interested in working with, local government.

This free event is designed to help suppliers better understand the needs of local authorities, offering a unique opportunity to gain insight into the work of local authority service, data and web managers.

Event Outline:

  • Julian Bowrey, Deputy Director of Digital and Corporate Communication at DCLG, will introduce the Local Digital Campaign and brief suppliers on how local government is approaching key elements of the digital agenda and what it is looking for from its suppliers moving forwards.
  • The Really Useful Day team will give you a hands-on taste of the innovative work they are doing across the country to help councils to focus on designing excellent digital services around the User Journey.
  • Speakers will give talks on a range of topics including the G-Cloud, open data, data sharing, standards and agile working.
