Competing for Social Value in Procurement Contracts

Taking place 10.00-12.00 Fri 29 April 2016 in Durham

Business Durham is holding a free business event where you will hear from chief public sector officers and gain insight into how to demonstrate social value when competing for procurement contracts.

North East MEP, Jude Kirton-Darling will open the event which will showcase:

  • how organisations are benefiting from the investment in social value
  • provide an insight into the opportunities public sector leaders project for businesses and third sector organisations
  • current advice on developing procurement bids for public sector contracts and a question and answer session
Speakers include: Darren R. Knowd, Durham County Council Chief Procurement Officer, Dave Gallagher, Sunderland CCG Chief Officer, Ken Bremner, City Hospital Sunderland Chief Executive and Sharon Hodgson MP.

Following the event there is an optional Master Class: Making Social Value Count (12.30 – 2.30 pm)
