nepro(25 November 2014, Belmont, Durham)

The North East Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) want to engage with training providers who have both the capacity and capability to support the region's local authorities in training their social care workforce in readiness for Care Act implementation in April 2015.

NEPRO and ADASS are looking for suppliers: • Whose content and delivery is based on the free Skills for Care workforce development materials, commissioned by the Department of Health.

• Can provide sufficient assurance that trainers, materials and content are compliant with The Care Act 2014 regulations and statutory guidance.

• Who have a demonstrable track record in the delivery of workforce learning and development - ideally within a social care setting.

• Who can offer flexible learning opportunities including face-to-face training, e-learning modules, coaching, tutor support and accreditation, if required.

• Who can offer high-level specialist training where required, including legal training.

• Who are compliant with The Equality Act 2010 and will challenge language or behaviour which may be offensive to others or which reinforces stereotypes.

• With sufficient contingency to address any impact on delivery from ill health, incapacity or other unanticipated events. The priority will initially will focus on training local authority frontline staff including care managers, social workers and those responsible for assessing care needs.
